The International Centre for Proficiency (ICP) in Canada has concluded plans to confer its 2013 Role Models Honours award on the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Deziani Allison-Madueke and Senator Andy Uba.


In a statement signed by the International Centre for Proficiency(ICP) Country Director in Nigeria, Prof. Nnanna Adiuku, the conferment of the award would hold on October 26th in Abu Dabi, United Arab Emirate. Prof. Adiuku, who is elated by the calibre of Nigerians who have been confered with the award, stated that the honourees were nominated based on their contributions towards uplifting the standard of living of the downtrodden in Nigerian society. These Eminent Nigerians have in no small measure also contributed immensely towards the development of the nation.


Other past recipients according to the statement, included: The first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, Governors of Akwa Ibom and Ondo States, Godswill Akpabio and Dr. Olusegun Mimiko respectively.”
